Estimated Total Cost: $0.00 per Semester

For estimates of UW-W Online degree costs, please visit https://www.uww.edu/adminaffairs/finance/sfs/tuition-and-fees-2023-2024 rather than using this estimator.

The estimate above is for one semester and is based on the following:
  • Estimated 2023-2024 standard, in-person, tuition costs (see additional fee information below)
  • Estimated 2023-2024 housing costs
  • Estimated 2023-2024 meal plan costs
  • Estimated 2023-2024 parking costs

Students required by Board of Regent Policy to reside in University residence halls as a freshman or sophomore will need to select a housing and a dining services plan. Students eligible for the commuter exemption to the residency requirement may choose not to enter a housing or meal plan. All estimated costs of attending UW-Whitewater are based on semester rates for fall or spring. Annual costs are generally twice the semester rates.   (The estimated tuition rates include base tuition, differential tuition - advising, textbook rental, and segregrated fees.)

Financial Aid Information
Most students, as long as they are enrolled at least half-time (6 credits for undergraduate and 4.5 for graduate) are eligible for financial aid (grants or loans).

To determine what financial aid you are eligible for, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at fafsa.gov.

If you have completed the FAFSA and have been awarded financial aid, you can access your financial aid information by logging in to WINS at www.uww.edu/wins and selecting the Financial Aid tile from Student Home.  A few notes:

  • When looking at your financial aid, ensure the correct aid year is selected in the upper left-hand corner.
  • By default the financial aid that is listed will be for the full academic year. Simply divide the amount by two to determine how much you will receive per term or change the display from Summary to a single term.
We have developed this worksheet to help you calculate your financial need.

If your financial aid does not cover all of your costs, there are additional options to explore.  For a description of some of these options, please visit www.uww.edu/types-of-aid.

Additional Fee Information
Once tuition and fees are calculated for the academic year, they will be listed here

Some courses (such as online courses) and programs may have additional fees associated with them.  In addition, tuition and fees vary among fully online programs; in particular, rates will vary between bachelor's and master's programs. While the majority of fully online programs charge the same tuition for in-state, out-of-state and international students, there are exceptions. Also, the DBA Program does not have a tuition variance based on residency – all DBA students pay the same tuition rate.

You may want to also look at your individual courses within the Complete Course Listing to see if any additional fees are listed.

Additonal course fees may be required by instruction mode for each individual course as listed in the Schedule of Classes.

Please visit the Financial Aid Cost of Attendence page for additional details.
