The estimate above is for one semester and is based on the 2020-2021 costs. Because 2021-2022 costs will not be determined until late July, you can use these figures now to estimate your expenses per term.
Students required by Board of Regent Policy to reside in University residence halls as a freshman or sophomore will need to select a housing and a dining services plan. Students eligible for the commuter exemption to the residency requirement may choose not to enter a housing or meal plan. All estimated costs of attending UW-Whitewater are based on semester rates for fall or spring. Annual costs are generally twice the semester rates.
Financial Aid Information
Most students, as long as they are enrolled at least half-time (6 credits for undergraduate and 4.5 for graduate) are eligible for financial aid (grants or loans).
To determine what financial aid you are eligible for, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at fafsa.gov.
If you have completed the FAFSA and have been awarded financial aid, you can access your financial aid information by logging in to WINS at www.uww.edu/wins and selecting the Financial Aid tile from Student Home. A few notes:
If your financial aid does not cover all of your costs, there are additional options to explore. For a description of some of these options, please visit www.uww.edu/types-of-aid.
